I tried to reinstall the Groupwise 6.0 client on a machine running 2000 and it seems as if it is starting to load the files needed for the install, however, before it reaches 100% I receive the error "unable to load packing list, please contact administrator"

I received this error once before on a machine with 98 but when I upgraded it to 2000 I did not receive the error. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks --JT22

We're running 5.5 but if all operates the same, the error you're getting is most likely a problem with your MAPI32.dll file. If you've installed software that's updated that file (Netscape,Mozilla, whatever),GroupWise will have a problem running the install. If you check your system32 directory, you'll probably find a backup file of the old mapi32.dll file with some sort of bkup title. There are TIDS on Novell's site on this one.

The easiest fix is to delete or rename MAPI32.dll and reinstall Microsoft messaging software, reboot and then install GW. Of course, you may then have to reinstall Netscape or whatever it is that overwrote mapi32.dll in the first place.
