"Trident" bug ???

Create an html file in notepad containing the following
text.

<!-- introducing the Trident team -->

Save as say text.htm and open in I.E 5.0.

The page shows names of lots of programmers floating and bouncing around in the IE window client area with colorful graphics in the background!!!

If this line is pasted inside any html file , similar
stuff happens.

Is this a bug ? If it is who are these &quot;Trident&quot; guys
and what is MS doing about such a blatant problem ?

I think that would be called an &quot;easter egg.&quot;

It didn't work for me though (I have IE 5.5).

Why would you say this is a &quot;blatant problem&quot;? How often are you going to include that particular comment in an html file unless you WANT to see the results? I think it's a non-problem. Also, like aperfectcircle said, it's called an &quot;easter egg&quot;. Lots of programs have them. Tracy Dryden

i tried it twice, both times it frose my browser. IE6. thats funny though.
