I recently switched from an IDE drive to a 250gig SATA drive. After using WD's file transfer software I thought I was good to go. But I've noticed certain programs stopped working - all Microsoft programs oddly enough. Most of which I have been able to reinstall, but Office 2003 refuses. (I'm on XP Pro sp2)
I can launch the programs, but when I do they try to reinstall themselves and give me an error about needing to repair them.
So I run the install and I get the error:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it ...." The rest is just a blurb about contacting support.
I get this error when I try to install or uninstall the product.
So my question is, how do I get to the point where I can reinstall Office 2003? Do I need to kill an install file somewhere? If so, where?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Jason
