the difference is that in your case M$ is not being paid by Apple mac. Spam Laws need to go up the money trail. As it is profitable to spam it will not go away untill it is not. I do agree with getting the payers as much as the spammers because the spammers are "just the gun" you wanna get the people "pulling the trigger" also

Also note that many spammers launch their spam attacks from machines that are not theirs and they have no legal right of usage. Thus they pay bugger all cost to hack into a box and send millions of emails from that machine.

So now you have a case where some poor sod box gets hacked and they are paying for the transmission of millions of emails. Kind of like someone breaking into your house, and making a bunch of prank phone calls.

I have no love for spammers. I shouldn't have to pay more for a email account that filters out spam.

NOTHING in the world is FREE! We all wanted to have a ubiquitous communication network, didn't we? Now SPAM is the "payback" time Elvis! I've gotten used to deleting a hundred or so SPAM msgs every day of my waking hours. This atleast gives me the motivation to wake up everyday, and get out of bed ASAP, for my fear of having to delete 500 SPAM msgs in one sitting! And, yes, I do get a chance to smell the roses!

Just to put in my vote: "Anything I receive, which I didn't ask for is a SPAM, yes, yours too Mr. Mac!"

I don't agree that SPAM is the payback. I can live with SPAM being a growth pain, but like all growth pains, it can be dealt with, although not always easily. I hope that we, at the international level, find ways to deal with it. It's a money issue.

My feeling is that "Any email that I received, that asks me for money[/b] that I didn't ask for is a SPAM.
