We have a remote location that we have defined automatic routing & restriction services to... these services are always active.

I changed the alarm set & control sets from the set that is on port 101 to a set by the Demarc.

Even though I did so, the "Services On" appears on both the set that is on port 101, and the set that is by the Demarc.

I searched & found thread799-975571 which states that "Services On" cannot be shut off on the display.

That's fine -- on the control set. But, I want to shut this off on the set that is on port 101.

Is this possible?

Unless I missed something, the set on port 101 isn't referenced as a control set anywhere in the system programming.

Our vendor will be out to corporate next week, but figured that I'd ask while I'm physically on-site.

Thanks

so what u r saying is you put services on using new control set and it came up on old control set

Yes... I changed the alarm set, and also, under "Services -> Common Settings", changed the "Control sets" -> "For lines" and "For sets" to all be the new control set.

The schedule is set to "Auto" (with the start & stop times set for the same for each day).

I even changed every ringing group (even though we are not using them) to unassign the old control set & assign the new one (and that is a pain, because you cannot do a copy to a range).

I even went so far as to restart the system.

The new "Control set" also shows "Service On", but that is ok, because it is "tucked away"... I just cannot get it to go out on port 101.

MICS 6.1 MR3.

Thanks

are you sure its no just its controlling all other sevice modes and the one u need is prog to the other set

Is there a manual F870 button on the old control set?

I don't beleive that should cause a static services msg on the display, but it's something to check.

Also, you might try to push F871 on the old control set. As lugerlover alluded to, there may be another mode set to manual, with that set as control.

Try changing the controll sets back like they were. Then go into services and change them to manual then from the phone at 101 turn services off. Change the control set back to the phone by the dmark then go to that phone and turn the services back to Auto.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I am not planning on being back at that location for a few weeks, but I'll let you know how I make out the next time I'm there.

lugerlover: They have not used services prior to my setting up a restriction service for them (several months ago, remotely). I had not been there since, so this was the first time I was made aware of the problem.

RikRodgers: The old control set did not have a F870 button -- they did not use night service.

hawks: I'll give that a whirl...

Our vendor is scheduled to come to corporate later this week, and I'll also discuss with him.

Thanks
