I am in the process of removing the last exchange 5.5 server. The steps from microsoft propose a list of steps to follow. Number 1 is to stop exch 5.5 and set MS Exchange System Attendent to disable. Step 2 is to:

"from the exchange 2000 server, use the exchange 5.5 administrator program. Make sure that you are using the exchange 2000 server version of the exchange 5.5 administrator program, which is an option that is installed from the exchange 2000 setup program"

When I go into setup for exchange 2000 it shows that exch5.5 admin has been installed. How do I execute the exch5.5 program? I can't find any reference to it in programs. Help!!

Oh yeah one more thing, there are no dumb questions!! :)

Sorry for the many posts.

But just so you know for Exchange 2000 the interface for Exchange is called "Exchange System Manager", and for Exchange 5.5 it was called "Exchange Administrator", both should appear after installation in the "Microsoft Exchange" menu.

If its not there, look inthe Exchange BIN directory for admin.exe, that is the Exchange 5.5 interface.
