"PLEASE CHECK REMOVABLE STORAGE MANAGER - MMC" Error

OS: Windows 2000 Server
HW: Gateway 7210
Tape Device: Seagate DDS4 (4mm DAT)
SW: NT Backup 5.0

Issue:
During a restore of a folder, I get this error.

"PLEASE CHECK REMOVABLE STORAGE MANAGER - MMC"

I have already tried dismounting the tape in MMC RSM Snap-in, and even tried reinstalling the driver for the TBU (which escalated the issue even more) .. Any suggestions, or insight?

I don't know much on this front but

MMC stands for Microsoft Management Console if you didn't know!?

If poss can you update this? I know of a issue that is on the update site about some backup tools? carn't remember which one though.... Have you updated the server with SP1? this may help resolve some issues..
