"Phone App" Programmable Key

When I try to set a 5340 programmable key to "Phone App" I receive the error message "A Phone Application Feature must be defined when Phone App Line Type is chosen."

Where do I define the Phone App Line Type?

What are you trying to do, what is your goal?

It's much simpler than troubleshooting every step on the way. (I doubt you want phone app)

I thought it was the "Phone App" key, looking at my other phones we have it set as "Phone app" on the button.

Am I correct in assuming your system is pre-rel 9.0?

If 9.0 or later the "applications key" is the Blue key.

Phone App appears the be the key type you are looking for. I haven't needed to program one for quite a while but I have no memory of it requiring additional input.

Maybe your system is post rel 9 and the functionality has changed. (And is unnecessary)

LOL, just upgraded to 10.0.1.22, last week and still finding the small changes. Guess I don't need the "Phone App" button now that it is the blue button.

you may find you want to disable the Visual Mail setting on 5330's and 5340's if you came up from pre-release 8.
