Hi there,

could anyone help me to find out the number of cores my p5 510 has?

I used lsconf/prtconf, but what I could see is only
"Full core = false" (What does it mean anyway?)

I need this information for licensing oracle.
Thanks in advance.

Are you confusing maximum core dump file size (written when something bad happens to an app, say) and hardware cores?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

No, is not the core dump file, which I wanna find out.
It is the core ..regarding chips (= hardware core).

I read that the system p5 510 can be 1 or 2 core system.
So which one do I have !?
And in general... how can I find out how many cores (hardware) does a p5 system have?
lsconf or prtconf can't give me the information.. :(

To my understanding:
is core = cpu/processor ?

Hence the number of cores is the same as "Number Of Processors" (from lsconf/prtconf) ?

khalidaa: Thanks for the info & link.

Regards,
cipaera
