l'm trying to run a workstation setup but failling .

Everything runs smooth with no error but when l try to run run accpac after after entering the username & password l get an error message that says

"Invalid database specification"

l'm running Accpac 5.5

Please help

For which database?
I'm guessing Pervasive: add the ODBC DSNs.

Regular or Native driver? Is the server and the DSN set up with SQL authentication?

The easiest way to handle this error is to launch Accpac for the first time while signed on to the machine with an account that has administrative privileges on that machine. The standard Accpac ODBC will then be automatically created.

Or...

The ODBC can be established using the SA username and password. Alternatively you can setup the user with a login in SQL Server and give them permission to connect to the server. Assuming your SQL is setup for dual mode authentication, the user can then establish the ODBC without having to enter a username and password. Same holds true for Excel, they would then be able to establish an ODBC using the "trusted connection.
