"export to CSV" not working after "SAVE"

When we are in a PPLAY WEB Explorer report, we can "export to PDF" and "Export to CSV" without problems UNTIL we use the "SAVE" icon on the bottom, right of the Cognos Toolbar.

If we hit "SAVE", then try to "Export to CSV", we get a blue status bar, then nothing happens.

We have tested this situation with the SAME results in all of the following environments:
1> IE 5.5 and PPLAY v7.1 MR1
2> IE 5.5 and PPLAY v7.1 MR2
3> IE 6.0 and PPLAY v7.1 MR1
4> IE 6.0 and PPLAY v7.1 MR2

"Export to PDF" seems to work OK.
This issue appears to be related to the "SAVE" icon -- if we don't SAVE at all, "Export to CSV" works OK - if we "SAVE AS", it seems to work OK.

If we "SAVE", then "Export to CSV" - it consistently DOES NOT WORK.
 
it's a bug.
(Since you've saved the report, at least you can re-open it and save as csv)
I find it annoying that after you bookmark a report, you need to use the back button so that the 'return to source' icon becomes available again.
MR3 anyone or just 7.2?

When you say it is a bug -- do you mean it is a DOCUMENTED bug that Cognos knows about ?
Do you know of other Cognos users having htis same issue?

I couldn't find any reference on their Knowledge base.

Would you know any Cognos reference to the bug or the bug number?

AFAIK it's a bug as there's no reason why it shouldn't work when save as pdf does. I don't know of any ref no or "bug" no. I hadn't noticed it before your post; refer it to Cognos and hope that it falls into the 'easily remedied and included in next MR' category [happy]

(I got fed up waiting for the Save as Excel with Format to be uprated to Excel 97-2000 format following a request, so macro'd a workround. Just as well, otherwise I'd still be waiting...)

Well -- Cognos now says this is a bug -- Issue number 433760.

Does anyone know how to look up Enhancement requests or bug numbers on Cognos website ??
