"error printing" message in q, so i have to turn the printer on & off

We're on a windows 2000 network and i'm using a hp lj4100n.
When i press print it just says errror printing so i turn the printer off and on re send the job and it prints. The thing is i have to do this for each print job!

can anyone help?!

I know that in some circumstances reinstalling the driver helps. Also, it may be that the memory in the printer has something stuck in it, try unplugging the printer, not just turning off, for twenty minutes, this should clear the memory if their is anything corrupted in there.
