Hello folks,
I have an Avaya IP500 system and I'm experiencing some signalling issues with outgoing calls. Once an external number is dialed there is often a delay of up to 20 seconds before the audio is connected on our end. The call gets connected eventually, but the internal end doesn't hear ringing or sometimes the first couple seconds of the call. Oftentimes the call will connect and the external number will hear me talking while waiting for the ring, while my audio doesn't get connected until the external person has already picked up and said hello. I have put in a ticket with my provider and they said I have to turn off the "Early Media Termination" setting on my PBX. I beleive this is a setting on cisco pbx's, but I can't find any equivalent or different worded setting on my IP500. Anyone know where this setting is or have any other ideas of why this is happening?
Thanks.
