One of our switch board operators notified me that the letter "E" was appearing on her LCD. I could't find any thing in the 2250 manuals to help me out, figuring it would refer to a minor PBX alarm or somthing.

Upon examining the display the display was in it's normal cofiguration with the time and date, but it had the letter "E" on the bottom of the LCD screen. I went ahead and unpluged the console waited about 2 seconds and pluged it back in and the "E" was gone.

Speaking to the Operator later today and found out that it was back. I don't thik this is service affecting, but to me it is annoying that I can't explain this.

Could some one tell me why this on the display and what to do about it.

Thanks,

Gumpus

Did you try to clear all the alarms in LD 32?

If not try that first,

LD 32

CMIN ALL

See if that clears it up.

Good luck

LD 32 sounds great, but the display has returned to normal. So I still have no idea what happened, but I will try to use the LD 32 command should it show it's ugly head again.

Thanks for your reply Rick!

This might be a moot subject by now, but if the message returns, I believe it means that one of the keys on the console is sticking when depressed. The key strips are labeled A to F (left to right)
