I have a user that needs to get all calls on his own extension as well as those intended for a departed user.

Initially I was going to use Incoming Call Handling Treatment to absorb the digits from UserA and insert the extension for UserB. Today it occurred to me that won't handle internal 4 digit calls or transfers.

I could do the old fashioned thing of keeping UserA's phone connected and turning on call forwarding, but there must be at least a couple of software only ways to do this.

I want all calls to end up at UserB's phone or voicemail without it even mattering which number was dialed.

Thanks.

1. What chicagophoneman said.....

2. Put a bridged appearence of extension B on extension A.

3. Create a coverage path for extension B and send all calls to extension A.

put a bridged appearance on the phone of the person that is still there.

I'm looking up what to put in the vdn.

In the meantime:

I'm on CM 3.1.4. On and older system I used to manage, in a cover path, a call to B that covered to A would end up in B's mailbox if A didn't answer. Is that still true?

I know I can't bridge a virtual station, but could on an x-port. However, the same question applies about voice mail. Can a call to the bridge B end up in A's voicemail?

On the voicemail system, put extension B as an secondary extension for subscriber A.

I've created a vdn with a vector that says "route-to number bbbb with cov y is unconditionally". Seems to work correctly.

Susan, I never looked at the secondary extension before.

Thanks to all.

The VDN will work for anyone who dial's extension AAAA - the call will go to voicemail for BBBB. However, if you have individuals who transfer calls directly to voicemail (without first calling the station), then you should use the secondary extension in Audix, because the VDN is by-passed in those cases.

Learned this one the hard way.

Good to know. I pretty sure no one transfers straight to vmail.

I've got a G350 with R3 Audix; can I put more than one secondary extension in the mail box?
