Tekkies,

I Have been working diligently to restore a file from old 4mm 2,4,& 8 GB tapes but keep getting a "block size of 512 bytes is not supported for the operation. An attempt was made to use an invalid block size,(24614)." error when I try to catalogue the media.

I've tried catalogue and Inventory...and received the same error. Does anyone know of a way to look up the error number or have a fix for the problem. I've tried the knowledge base...but no dice.

I'm Running back-up exec 9.1 Build 0306
Tape Drive: Dell DT 100
Novell 6.5
