After numerous attempts to get the date changed to a new month under File (upper left )"Change Date" after closing out a month, the original date pops up again when I enter. Though it doesn't appear to affect the work, as it is only shown at the bottom left corner as "Application date" of my printout, how can this be corrected?

What version of MAS are you on? The module date is set by Change Date function, yes but the date of the module is based on the current open period.

Thank you for your response-I am on SAGE MAS90 Master Accounting Series Evolution/2 by State of the Art. The program is rather old, perhaps the first series even, but suits my needs. The Accounting Date is finally correct and I really don't know how this worked out;now, all my figures agree under the Acct Inquiry, but when I proceed to"Period Ending" the date for "Period Ending Processing" is incorrect, is a month behind, ie. I have finished March but the date on the Period End Processing shows "Period 2 ending 2/28/10.
What on earth has occurred? Or rather what have I done to cause this? Note: Also when I open the program now, a box with "MY TASKS" opens and remains open.
Thank you for any assistance you might give me, my college degree did not prepare me for this!!

That version is a good 12-15 years old. I would guess you need to do period end closing in that module. Are you in the US?

Response to Big Louie, Yes, I am in the US.

Please don't take offense but this sounds highly suspecious. "SAGE MAS90 Master Accounting Series Evolution/2 by State of the Art" is NOT the correct name. With Evolution/2 Sage was NOT involved at all. The company was still State of the Art. The name Sage would not have been part of the name. Also Evolution/2 is NOT Y2K compliant. There is no way you could use dates from the 21 century. All of your dates would have to be from the 1900s. Plus the fact that I do not believe that Evolution/2 would run on Windows XP or 7 as it is a 16 bit DOS program although you could run it on a Novell or Unix system.
