"1 drive degraded"

last night during the system boot of the server it said "1 drive degraded" and the drive was blinking orange instead of solid/blinking green. it was the mirror drive for the OS drive (RAID 1)...so drive 1 that was mirroring 0 went out.

what does that mean? is the drive gone? can i rebuild? and if so, how?

any suggestions will be appreciated.

Replace the drive. It may not be dead now, but it will probably give your repeated problems if you leave it in.

The rebuild process depends upon what type of RAID you have. If it is hardware, you would use a utility provided by the manufacturer. If it is software RAID, it will depend upon your specific OS.
