This is for the PRI gurus...Has anybody in this forum ever installed or maintained this next
generation of channel bank...I have read to many forum articles about the nightmares of
installing and maintaining a ATT PRI ckt...
Ideas or thoughts anyone.

my opinion: channel banks of any kind present an unnecessary additional point of maintenance/failure.

i much prefer a direct digital trunk connection.

Yep, MUCH preferred to use a digital trunk to the switch, especially if I can get a PRI to it. A channel bank vs a PRI is like Dial-up compared to cable/DSL.

One thing I found in numerous cases, after they started using ROUTERS to emulate a CO Circuit.., almost every Legend that made that move had issues with alarms, the circuit, slips etc. THey may be better now, but I'll never try it again on a Legend!
Give me a REAL PRI/T1 !!

In your case if it's a matter of You Had copper CO lines and wanna use what you have, it would be WELL worth your expenditure to just add a T1 card to your system and abandon usage of the copper line ports. Your voice quality, conferencing, and especially Off-Premise transfers will be substantially better.
