Quiet Calls on 406 & 54** Phones

Have a version 3.0 (44) switch with 5410 Handsets and client has commented on callers are saying that they are very quiet.
Would their be any reason for this. Have checked volumes controls and also the Reset volume levels are off.

get it logged with Avaya - known problem since V3 came out. Apparantly it's fixed with 3.0(58) which is coming out soon - probably be 58 unless they find more bugs, which is quite probable!!!

Is this the case on all phone types, or just on 54 series? I have a customer complaining of the same thing.

The switch is a 54** DS system so I cannot comment on that.
But if Version 3.0 then limits the phones it could be.
