Does anybody know if there's a version of Quicktime player that we can purchase for installation across our network, and customize it to our security specifications, such as only allowing A/V playback, and not constantly prompting to upgrade the player?

I'm looking to see if there's something similar to RealPlayer's Intranet Administrator, which lets you create customized RealPlayer installers and limit what end users can do with the player.

I've tried e-mailing Apple, but they won't respond, and I refuse to make a cross-country toll call to ask a question. Of all the things I've lost
I moss my mind the mist.

Don't know if you solved this since December, but just in case:

You can purchase the Pro version of QuickTime ($29 at and install it on your network. This will eliminate the "Upgrade to Pro" nag window.

There are really no limiting controls in QuickTime Player, but what else do you think people could do with it besides play A/V content? As far as I know, there is no admin tool for QT.
