First, I'd like to appologize if I entered this in the wrong forum.
Anyone out there really good with QuickBooks? I have QB Pro 2008. All of the Intuit and internet scannning I've done, I cannot come up with an easy solution to this.

With all the customers we have for our business, these customers sometimes also have different SHIP TO addresses.
When advance searching for something we "filter" down to find what we need. However, the filters do not show the SHIP TO addresses. We can filter down to a particular customer but not the SHIP TO.
I read somewhere that we would have to create the ship to's in the "custom fields". That takes alot of time...I could do this in a spreadsheet.
This is silly as 85% of businesses use different ship to addresses. We need to be able to search for a particular ship to address if we cannot remember the actual customer. Finding the ship to will aide us immensely.
Can anyone help me out here?
Much appreciate it!

I am sorry to be dense. I don't know what you are after. What is the result you want? A list?

Not a list but a "filter". When you search it brings up a list of filters to search by. We need to add the "ship to" locations in the filter. So far I have heard you cannot add them. Honestly that is insane as most customers have different ship to locations.

1)when you enter a new customer you enter a bill to and a ship to address.
2) If you enter a different ship to address for that customer, all forms will have drop down box which allows you to choose which ship to address you want to use.

You know the above, the ship to address is tied to the bill to address, do the majority of your customer have different names for their subdivisions?

At any rate the ship to filter exists in several reports (customer phone list) is one.

I hope this helps as I am far from expert.
Tom
