Thanks to GriffMG for added code in FAQ. I used the code and found error while viewing with acrobat reader.

I have created file which I can print to LPT1 means having code like chr(14)=BIG, chr(77)=12CPI, chr(12)=Page Break.

Total pages in file is 17.

Problem is 2nd page appear blank.

Is there any specific way to use this code ?

I think he is opening the resultant .pdf in modi comm and can see all the text there, but not in his pdf viewer (I think). "

Yes, I experienced the same.

NewToFoxPro,

Mike has done some experiments in VFP8 & 9 and gets the same results with his sample txt file... can you send me a larger example of yours, or are you testing with the very same file you sent me?

Regards

Griff

Mike,

Which viewer are you using to open the .pdf file?

I've been using PdfXChange Viewer - which might be why I'm not seeing the error!

Griff,

Are there any page breaks in the text files?

No. (How can you put page breaks in a text file? Do you mean inserting an ASCII 12 in the text? If so, I can try that.)

If not you need to specify the page length instead of 0, use 48 or some such.

I'll try that if I can grab a moment.

Which viewer are you using to open the .pdf file?

Adobe Reader ver. 9. (That's the only one I have installed at the moment.)

Mike

I think I need to look at the code!

I have found the problem!

The acrobat reader is unhappy with the way I have treated parenthesis ()
as it uses those to terminate strings, by changing them in the sample.txt to be []
instead I was able to make a file that adobe reader was happy with.

I will try to modify the code and repost it.

Hello

it looks heavy to manipulate, you could use ixipage to design your text into POSTSCRIPT and after it apply a converter from Postscript to PDF ...
Your design could then be done in any comfortable langage as Perl ...
