I've setup my excel quick access toolbars with a number of general shortcuts that I use regularly as well as a lot of macros connected to my personal workbook

Can anyone tell me how to copy the quick access toolbar in Excel 2007 so that I can copy the setup I have to another computer?

Cheers, Jaks999

Are you wanting to copy just the Macros, or the whole setup?

For the Macros, you'll need to export the modules from the VBA editor.

For the other, I'm not sure right off bat, but I will say you might be better suited to asking this question over at:

If I had to guess at the toolbars part, though, I'd imagine there is a configuration file that will contain all of that. I'd be interested in that myself, but so far I've just manually recreated the buttons since most of my work is always in the code and the buttons are pretty simple to recreate.

I want to copy everything I have in the Quick Access Toolbar which includes about 10 buttons connected by my personal worksheet and another 15 or so commands that I use regularly.

Lately, it seems to be regular occurance that I have setup (my) excel again - whether it is for a new computer or at work on a new server or because I need to do something on someelse's computer. And I really like my shortcuts etc and it's a bit of pain not being able to go up to the computer and just load everything up quickly.

In previous versions of Excel I have programmed additional toolbars and menus so I thought this may also be an option for this forum with Excel 2007.

Anyway, I've been searching the net and may have found a solution:

1. From the microsoft Office Community site I put in a search for "customize toolbars in Excel 2007" and there was a post Ron de Bruin
2. Go to this site for "Menu for favorite macros in Excel 2007":
3. Go to this site for "Change the ribbon in Excel 2007":

Looks very interesting and looks like I will learn something but it may not be as quick as I had hoped.

Great to hear you may have found a solution. Yeah, oftentimes the really great stuff cannot be done quickly. [wink]
