Suddenly and without warning, none of the queued mail for users with forwarding Email addresses is being delivered to any host.
All incoming mail for domains hosted locally on NMS 4.15 are coming in fine - only those users who have a forwarding address at an external domain are affected.
We monitored the receiving end of one domain's mailserver and NMS is never even contacting that mailserver for delivery. All messages remain "deferred" - forever (until the queue expires them).
We are running BIND locally for namservice and there is only one IP on the NMS machine. BIND resolves the hosts specified in the deferred/queued Email addresses just fine.
As a drastic measure, we did stop all NMS services and deleted the entire queue files/folders, then restarted NMS. This made no difference - all Email to be delivered to remote hosts just builds up in the queue.
Any suggestions appreciated - one key is that NMS is never even attempting to contact any of the remote MX hosts for delivery...
Thanks - Ado
