Question with regard to MS Access

I am referencing this thread:

thread705-993875

Is it possible to transfer the SpecificationName to a new database? And if so, how is it done? Also, how can I veiw it?

Thanks

Greg

Haha. It's been a while working with this stuff. I found how to view, but don't think there is a way to copy to new DB.

Choose to import a database. You will see an Options button. Import/Export Specs is one of the options.

Access stores details of the Import/Export Specs in the following MSys tables MsysIMEXSpecs and MsysIMEXColumns.

If you choose to show these tables in the old database using Tools>Options they can then be imported into your new database.

The new table names will then have a suffix of '1' so data can be transfered to your existing tables or the tables replaced dependant on whether you have existing specs in your new database.
