I'm having some problems creating submaps in NNM. I'm creating a network:internet object from root and creating a submap from that, but I must be doing something wrong because it won't let me add any objects (When I try to add an object and specify a hostname/address under IP Map it says "IPMap will not recognize a node on this submap. Press Cancel to continue." I can paste objects in but they all just show up blue and no links form between them. I've tried to duplicate the settings of the original internet object/submap but I'm still doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be great.

Hi !,

1. NNM will check the validity of SUBNET /IP when creating ip-objects.

2. When U copy an object sometimes it will be BLUE. In a case like that, copy the appropreate interfaces also.
(NOTE:When the object is colour Blue, DO NOT Double click & open it.
Copy the original object interfaces & then open the copied object which is in colour blue, then paste the interfaces.)
if u open the blue object, your original object interfaces will be gone forever !!!

Actually, you are probably trying to drag it into a container that may not be appropriate for what you want to do.

Create a container that is a Location symbol. Then, try to either drag objects in or cut and paste. I ran into the same problem because I originally tried to use the Container instead of Location symbol.

Good luck.
