I have read the I1230 I.P. user guide and I see where there are 10 line/feature buttons. It refers to having "10 keys for user defined key labels" and "10 line/features you can access through 2nd page functionality". Does this phone use a shift key for accessing the second series of buttons and does this mean I could have 2 intercoms and 18 other buttons for lines, features or autodials?

I just installed a bunch of theese phones. There are 10 keys no shift, that can be used for lines, intercom, external or internal auto dials, or feature autodials. Then the pre-labled buttons can be reprogrammmed as well. Their is a msg button that is pre programmed for F980 I reprogram for F981 and tell the customer this is open vmail key.

These phones can also be used on newer CS1000 systems where the shift key is active. On the BCM they aren't.
