We've got the incoming lines set to go to night service hours starting at 5:00 pm. It's a small company, and there are times when they want night service to start earlier in the day if everyone is leaving. How is this accomplished without having to run the Manager software?

Thank you.
David

if it is a huntgroup you can make a button on a phone that is in the huntgroup
if not you an make a huntgroup for every user and put that user in that group (it is a small company)

Thanks. I'm sorry - I guess I'm a bit dense on this. Could you elaborate? I'm not seeing how this is accomplished. In this company there are 4 people. Ideally, one of the people wants to be able to go to his phone and hit a key that tells the phone system to go to night service mode. You see, right now, it's working well: in night service, the fallback extension is this person's extension, which he has forwarded to his cell phone. What he wants to do is tell the system, "It's night service now", even though it's not 5 pm yet.

Can you help?

Thanks!
David

like i said make a button on the phone with :put huntgroup in nightservice
when he leaves he presses the button and the then it is in night service
i asume he is in a huntgroup otherwise you don't have a fallback

David,

The programming for a button is:
Action: Set Hunt Group Night Service (It's under Advanced/Set)
Action Data: Hunt Group Number
Label: Night (If you have a self labeling phone)

The button will toggle. It can be put on as many phones as needed.

Good luck,

Check the Incoming Call Route. See if there is a Night Service destination and Time Profile in there. If there isn't a profile there then it is the Hunt Group that controls the Night Service times.

If it is there, then you can do what you want (It's a pain, I know!!) You will have to take it out and make the Group control the times.

Go to the Hunt Group programmed as the Destination (eg Main) in your Incoming Call Route. Go to the Fall Back tab. The Time Profile and Night Service Fallback should be in there.

If the Hunt Group is controling the Night Service then program a button as SetHuntGroupNightService with the Telephone Number the same as the Main group number. This will toggle that group in and out of Night Service.

Remember-if you manually toggle a group into Night Service, then you must manually take it out again. Time Profiles will not come into play until you have (useful for holiday periods to leave system in Night Service).

Hope this helps.

Remember, as with most fields in Manager, if it has a drop down menu to choose the population of the field use it. Do not type in the field, unless the choice does not appear in the drop down.
