Hi everyone! Happy MLK day!!

I am in the process at work of looking through various programs to utilize for safer web surfing. In particular, one that will pick up spyware, trojans and the like. I need it to be centraly administered and not too complex.

I have looked at Pest Patrol, which seems to do wonders.

Does anyone have any good recommendations in regards to this type of software? This will be run in conjunction with NAV and is for a firm with 600 plus users.

Thanks in advance!
Deanna

If it helps, I run Norton internet security, adaware, and spybot search and destroy. I also use a program called Active Ports to monitor my connections.

I would have to recommend Webroot's Spysweeper, I use it and it picks up all kinds of spyware, trojans etc... and you can also, have it protect your homepage from any hijackers, it also, removes cookies from being installed on your pc and has a memory shield protector too. it is a very nice easy to use program with updates also. It also has an option which provides you with news about all the threats etc...

I run all of these already, thanks! What we are looking for is a more corporate program that can be administered centrally, somewhat like the Symantec System Console.

The problem is, if we simply use Ad-Aware, CW Shredder, Hi-Jack This! etc., then we are relying entirely on the users (and there are over 500 of them) to do this themselves. We all know, that rarely happens.

So I've thought of a product like Pest Patrol or something similiar. Still open to suggestions regarding a corp wide, centrally administered product.

Thanks again for the answers to this people!

As for a centrally administered anti-virus (+) tool, we successfully implemented and deployed "ePolicy Orchestrator" from Network Associates (nai.com)

What an amazing tool and, with their excellent phone support, was not too difficult to set up and deploy. Most of the difficulty was in regard to the learning curve.
