I using a pptp dialup VPN
Our users is on other site.
They want to connect to office to check mail with VPN
But they connect to internet through proxy server.
It is the limitation that vpn cannot work in such situation
Thanks

in theory it can work
I have my proxy in passive mode and i can get out to any vpn easily.
i think you may have to open some ports up in the proxy to enable the vpn to pass but i might have a different configuration that you so it is just a thought.
I have it working through a proxy without any configuration except the gateway on the vpn and thats it. make sure you can ping the sever you want to connect to and have a good connection.
I do not advice using dial up to vpn the link is very poor and will blip out loads. try a direct dial up to a IIS server or somthing or even better ADSL with VPN

Actually, the VPN server is a cisco 1711 router.
The situation is following
user ---- Proxy ---- Internet ---- VPN Router

If the user can access VPN router through Proxy.
Is it also possible work on the following situation
user ---- Internet ---- Firewall ---- VPN Router
