If an vb 4.0 exe runs on a network and accessed
by several users ....would the app work if
the dlls , vbxs , and ocxs are placed in the
app directory ...or do they belong in
the users windows\system directory.
(there is no setup.exe for the app)

thanks
john

the dlls, vbxs or ocxs should all belong to every individual computer that u plan to run the application.
the computer selected to be the 'File server' should have the original .exe and database file. The 'file server' needs to share out the directory of the created application so that the 'terminals' would be able to access the program. In each of the 'terminals' a shortcut of the original *.exe should be placed and the path set to the directory that has been shared out be the 'file server'.
