Question about link to a webpage, easy but I confused

Hi all,
Ok, I have page links in my webpage. When click link to page 2, there are 2 ways to do it:

-C:\Inetpub\

http://wwwroot\operating_instructional_manual.pdf

-http:\\localhost\operating_instructional_manual.pdf

My question is which way is the right way to do the link since I have to public my website?

Use your site's URL to link to the page. Using an absolute path such as C:\... will look for resources that don't exist on the client computer.

You would have to link it as:

http://yourwebsite/operating_manual.pdf

How about the pitures on the that page say A.aspx that are local link (file:///C:\Inetpub\

http://wwwroot\VBAccount\Pic\pic1a.GIF),

then can the client site see them on the client's browser?

you just have to write VBAccount\Pic\pic1a.GIF.
as long your folder structure doesn't change.
