Question about EXCEL

I need write some data (arrays) into EXCEL 2003 from Dialog base application. I found how can I do it on the web. I can open, put, and save data. Everything is OK. But my question how handle situation then EXCEL file already open.

i doubt you can, as excel/windows (not sure which) puts a lock on the file stating that it is already open, thus a second user cannot open and modify the file.

One way round it would be to copy the file and modify it, but then you wouldn't be able to saveit as the original name.

But then again, I could be wrong?
