go into tools-services and add in "outlook address book" in conjunction with your ms exchange server service. once you have this installed, restart, check your address book and you should see the option to pull contact addresses...if not then one more step, right click on the contact folder, goto properties, and select the "outlook address book" tab. make sure the box "show this as an address book" is checked...now go back into address book and you should see the contacts as an option...
Ok I can see the Outlook address book then I can see contacts now when I compose a new email -to then goto select
contacts I cannot see any contacts any clue?
when you go into the address book, how many contacts folders do you see, try and scroll down the list, if you see a second contact folder then try that one, if however you see two contacts folders, kill your profile in outlook and recreate it with the right services and then you should have just one contact folder in the address book...
ok, i think the both of us are talking about two different areas...when you are in tools-services you should see outlook address book. then if you right click on your contacts folder in your mailbox and select the outlook address book tab, you should see a check box marked which will confirm that the contact folder is available. now, on your menu go to tools-address book, in teh new window that pops up, there is a pull down menu on the right near the top named "show names from the", and if you go through that list you should see "contacts" as a selection, let me know if you see two contacts folders though in that list.
Have you gone to the properties page of your contacts folder and gone to the "Outlook Address Book" tab and placed a tick mark in the spot that says "show this folder as an e-mail address book"?
If not you will not be able to pull e-mail addresses from your contact folder.
now that you are getting an error, i would reccomend recreating the persons profile, i have had this error before and just recreate the profile, now that you have the properties settings correct for the folder. although when you recreate the profile, you will most likely have to go into the properties of the contacts folder and make sure that check mark is there.
