Hello,

I know next to nothing about AS400 so I need a starting point. Microsoft SQL Server has a program called Query Analyser, IBM DB2 ver 7 has a program called Command Center. They both do much the same thing, i.e. you can query the database using DDL, DML etc.

Does AS400 have this as well? I can use the AS/400 Operations Navigator but I need something a little more taylored for running queries. Does anyone know what program does this? Pref something that is part of the AS400 and if so how to run it.

Really appreciate any assistance given.

Chris

Try the command STRSQL. That's the command-line SQL interface.

IBM's site seems to be tempararily down, but I have the link to the SQL Reference for V5R1 as:

The i-Series Infocenter for V5R1 is:

That will link to all of the manuals for the AS/400 (aka iSeries).
