I know with php for example you can use an empty folder structure such ast
This can be indexed by many search engines as opposed to the ? ...

Anybody know a good solution to this as apache/ tomcat doesnt seem to pull off this feature...

sorry bout a waffly lot of stuff here...head cold...any help much appreciated and the circus leaves town...

The solution to the problem is not a programming issue. If you are using Apache, there is a module called mod_rewrite. There is a lot of information on the web on how to configure Apache, and the usage of the module.
