Query for blank values: Data mismatch

Good morning (Or afternoon/night if the locale is right.)

I was introduced to the website last Friday, and this is my very first post!

Anyway, I'm having an issue with a very simple query. I'm trying to use the criteria "" to return only records where the specified field is blank, but I get a data type mismatch in criteria expression every time. Has anybody else experienced this problem, or know how to resolve it?

I'd try IS NULL instead.

Thank you for the quick response! I'm not sure why I didn't think of that, I already had tried IS NOT LIKE "2010*" to no avail.

I take it then you where querying against a DataTime field. They never equate to an empty string - they either have a value (i.e. a date and time) or are Null. Hence your mismatch error.
