Hi...I'm working with three peoplesoft queries: one for the main report and the other two are for subreports. When I run the whole report, I am prompted three times because the three queries require a parameter prompt. Is there any way to have the parameter prompt come up only once? I tried linking the two subreports to the main report and it still does not work...i keep getting prompted three times. Any suggestions?

Thanks...dan

Are these 3 separate parameters, or just one parameter that is used in all 3 queries? Brian J. Alves

It's just one parameter used by all three queries.

Most probably, you only need the parameter in the main report and you don't need the parameter in the subreports. You link to the subreports based upon the matching field in the main report to the subreports. Don't select records in the subreports based on the parameter. This makes the parameter box come up multiple times.

Just as an example.

You have a parameter, p_ZipCode, in the main report. You prompt for the zip code and select records based on p_ZipCode = {some Table.ZipCode}. When you create the subreport, you should link the main Table.ZipCode to whatever ZipCode field there is in the subreport.

If you're not displaying the matching field in the main report, then just add it to the main report and suppress it so it doesn't display. Brian J. Alves
