Have a question about adding queries to exe.files. In our exe.'s the users normally query the system through various hard coded sql statements allowing them to pick selection crieria, etc. All of this works fine but tried to use the query designer for a new set but doesn't seem to work with the exe. Does the query tool work with exe.files?

many thanks

If you insert "?" infront of the vaiables, and after initialising the variables in your application by user input, if you issue REQUERRY() the results will be picked up.
Hope this helps your issue. ramani :-9

Thanks for the reply. The problem seems to lie in the fact that the query doesn't run at all in the exe. Even if we just ask it to return all the records in the file nothing runs. The rest of the .exe runs great--suspect i'm missing something very basic.
