I'm using Quark Xpress 6 on a Mac OS X platform.
Arial and Times New Roman fonts are correctly installed on the library of fonts of my Mac. However after conversion by using the "Export to PDF" tool of Quark, the PDF files do not include accents, apostrophes,...
This problems occurs even if I convert to Quark file to EPS and then distill it on a Mac OS 9 distiller.
The same file is correctly converted on another Mac.
Accents are correctly converted with all other fonts.
Many thanks for your help if someone has an idea to fix that !

Hi, I think it's possible that the problem is in your PDF Settings.
When you go to export as PDF, go to Option - Job Options and make sure that Subset font option is unchecked and Embed all Fonts option is checked.
I hope this helps.

You could also have a clash with the sytem fonts.

Both Ariel and Times are installed as standard, I've found replacing them with your preferred versions works a treat.
