quark quits unexpectedly 1

I am using QuarkXpress 6 and all the sudden the program keeps quitting unexpectedly about every 2 minutes and I keep losing work.
Can anyone shed light on this
I am a mac with Panther OP system

We had the same thing happen here with a group of 14. First we discovered that a third party extension: QX Tools QX-Collect&Send was causing a conflict, which resulted in either a freeze or a program shut down.

Removing the extensions helped.

Then we trashed the Preferences folder located in the Quark Applications folder. Do this by dragging the folder out of quark (Like to your Desk Top). Then restart Quark. It took our IT department about two weeks to get this little bit out of Quarks Customer Service.

I just installed Quark 6.1 after installing OS 10.3 on a G4. Right from the start, Quark keeps crashing. I've tried reinstalling it and trashing the Preferences to no avail. Thoughts, anybody?

It doesn't seem to have been updated since QuarkXPress 5, but you should be able to figure out the general principle...
