Quark 6 won't allow me to save 1

Having Trouble with Quark 6, When I save it tells me the 'Fille is already open" and won't let me save the document. So I have to revert to the original saved version.  Recently installed Badia Opennow 1.1 extension. may be this would have something to do with the problem. It only happens every now an then but is very annoying when yo have done some work on a job and cant save it.

Help- Did you find a solution??- Mine is worse- can't save and it corrupts file 'bad file format' 6.01- I don't know how many copy of the copy of the copy my computer can handle-

Are these files being worked on locally or through a network? What happens when you temporarily disable your anti-virus software?

Anti Virus could be it. As Norton was installed just before it started to happen. But as it only happens intermittently it is difficult to pin down. Willl try it anyway. Cheers.

Checking anti-virus software may only be a stab in the dark. Quark has demonstrated that it prefers sole use of the files that it works on. If another application, such as an antivirus utility, has its fingers on the file, Quark may get finicky. Intermittent problems might be attributed to virus scanners as these intermittently scan files on your system.

Quark also seems to get finicky with files being accessed through networks.
