Moving from Quark 4.11 to 6 (mac 10.2.8) has been largely painless, BUT... there is one intermitant glitch that I can't figure out when placing ad graphics (PDF) in my magazine document files.
Some files (perhaps 1 in twenty) will place properly when viewed on screen, but when translated to postscript (to laser printer, ps file to create PDF soft proof or sent to RIP by my file vendor) the ad graphic drops on the Y-axis by an arbitray amount (between 2 & 6 inches or so). X-axis retains the proper position.
Has anybody seen this problem or have any ideas of what might be a likely culprit? Thanks, Al McAtee
