Hey Guys

Im going insane here, is there a way to hang punctuation in quark 6 that is in a textbox? I mean i can even do it in illustrator so im thinking quark should have this feature. I tried putting a negative number in the left indent field but it just gives me an error. Any ideas?

Thanks So Much

By hanging, do you mean moving one character up and down? If so then on the mac you Hold your "Shift•Option•Apple" keys down while hitting your "-" or "=" at the same time

By hanging i mean hanging the punctuation outside the text box on the left. Same line just outside so it does not line up with the column of text.

example: " Hello there
all you guys "

Thnks for quick response man : )

Unfortunately, that feature doesn't exist in Quark 6.

thnks guys for responses...quark had better do some changes quick or indesign will bury them

In you paragraph formats just make the "left indent"
5mm and the "first line" -5mm, this will give you the result you are after

thnks Marcus, I know that one but when you have text boxes made designated to a size then the whole column wont line up unless you change the size of the text box and i was hopefully looking for a way not to have to do that..

Thanks Though : )

Oh, I see now what you are trying to do.....
Good luck with that, let me know if you succeed
