Quark 5 save as 4

I saved some Quark 5 files as Quark 4. The person I gave this to can't seem to open these files. I don't have Quark 4 to check. Can any one help?

Make sure to save it with the file extension .qxd. Sometimes these files need to be opened using the File: open menu instead of double click or drag-n-drop.

On my verison of Quark 5, when you go to "save as" you get a drop down menu at the bottom which asks you which version you would like to save it as. Click on 4.
Its always worked for me, as my printers uses Quark 4.
