Hi all,
My dad needs a machine that can run with 4 monitors.
That's something I've never delved into... so here it goes:
The machine will be built from scratch and I'd like some advice regarding the hardware.
Requirements:
- Support 4 monitors (with different info on each, o'course)
- Have a relatively strong CPU (something like the Intel's Dual Core Duo) for running multiple applications simultaneously
- Be silent (the less fans the merrier), but note that I live in a pretty hot area
- Small external dimensions would've been nice
- No need for extreme resolution - 1280x1024 is more than enough. the machine will not be used for games and such.
Is there any problem to just push 2 x NVidia 7600GS into the PCI-E (or PCI-X, whatever the PCI express is called)slots and be done with it? How do I configure the driver then? I'm using the NVidia's DualView with a single 7600GS myself, but I'm not sure if this will work with 2 7600GS's...
Any help is highly appereciated.
Thanks,
Jean
