Hi,

I am using QTP 8.2..

While trying to execute a script the following error was encountered

"The test run cannot continue due to an unrecoverable error.
Failed to run script.
Description: An interface has too many methods to fire events from"
on expanding details QTP displays this message.
<<Line (1): "Call RunAction("Action1", oneIteration)". >>

This is happening across all the scripts, which was running perfectly sometime back in the same QTP system. I don't have any clue wht has happend to the QTP in the my system. The same script works well with other system.

Does my QTP got corrupted?.... should I reinstall again?

Thanks Palaniselvam, for your response... I have contacted Mercury Interactive and got the problem resolved...

The propblem was related to the dll files of QTP.... now it is working fine..

Dhivya,

Follow these steps....

1. Login as Admin of ur system or make ur ID as admin.
2. Close QTP if it opened. Check if QTPro is running in task manager. if it then end that task.
3. now go to C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\bin
4. Double click on this dll "QuickTestProfessional.bat"
5. It will reload the dll's
6. now open QTP and execute or record ur scripts, it should work fine.

I am having the same problem. I'm running QTP 8.0 with the Terminal Emulation Add-in against Extra! Extreme 8.0.

Previously I had problems with QTP not recognizing the Te objects, but when I adjusted the Extra! advanced global options to associate a session document with the HLLAPI shortname that was seemingly resolved.

However, from then on, QTP will not run any scripts, including existing and previously functioning scripts.

This is seriously blocking progress on our testing.

They have now advised me to remove and re-install my QTP. I'll report on how that fix works after it is completed.

In the script alreay written by some body there is a web Element object with properties of Font, Fontcolor, size were comparing with the run time objects fonts.For the webelement in the object repository Where can I find the the fond,Fontcolor and fontsize.While writing code where we can see the Testobjects that is Webelement's font,color and font Size while writing the descriptive programming.
