I have an 81C,(Rls 25.30)with 6 T-1's. None are ISDN. I want the ability to communicate with a G3 (not co-located) by just dialing the last four digits of the phone at the other location and vise versa. I'm told that a new ISDN T1 between the two switches is the way they want it to happen. Can this be done using Qsig?
Can the 81C be implemented with Qsig software which I think would allow the two switches to talk the same language. If so how could this be done to the 81C?

You can create a CDP (4 digit dialing stuff) using all kinds of connections. QSIG/MCDN/DPNSS/Analog etc etc.

Depending on the features you want, you need a certain feature level of the software. You can find that on you keycode sheet.

If I remember correct you need at least Network services for QSIG and CDP

Q signalling is a standardized form of communications between PBXs.
qsig.ie was standards website, but it has not been working for quiet some time. if u dont need very 'tight' integration and just need 4 digit dialing ...you dont need QSIG for that ...gets expensive
if you've never had PRI, then you need get PRI related services and then Qsig related keycodes
