QSIG conversion 1

Hello all,

Currently have multiple DMS100 PRI gatways from Opt 81's to a CCM cluster. All is working well, however the facility would like to use Nortel voicemail on new Cisco devices.

Can anyone outline a conversion process to move Trunks to QSIG. I have no testing environment, but can pull a trunk out of production for a test.

BTW, when modifying the ADAN on an existing D100 PRI trunk to IFC ISGF I'm getting the following error.

SCH6357 - Interface change is not allowed for UIPE D-channels.

When changing the RDB, I get the following:

SCH4775 - Warning: IFC must be changed for service route in conjunction with ISA routes and IFC for the DCH link. IFC must be changed for the DCH first and then changed for the ISA routes which have channels from the PRI loops of the DCH. Finally, change the IFC for the service routes.
Severity: Info

If I read that correctly, I must complete changes in the following order.
DCH, then TIE trunk channels, then service routes.

Can anyone please advise.

out it and put it back in, trunks then the route then the dch.. be sure that after a dch change, dis msdl x enl msdl x fdl..(ld 96) that is required to download the change to the card.. then enll x the loop, the d needs to estb without being told to...

btw, you need to dis dch x auto and disl the loop before the switch will let you take it out, even if it's down but software enabled

First timer here.

So - LD 14 has many more options to build trunks than ld 20 prints in a tie report. Is there anyway to output a complete config of the current trunks?

So I cheated, broke everything else down but the DCH. Decide to hit the prompt and get the following:


SCH6457
BBTS is not supported by this card type.
Severity: Info


Don't have the time now but even after removing the DCH will the same message appear in the morning?

Try to out the CFN DCH and get the following:

ADAN OUT DCH 27 3
SCH5578 - Logical application must be disabled. - Severity: Info

SO I Force download the card and try again, no luck.
Then I disable the MSDL card and no go.

Any scoop on what the "Logical application" is and how to disable it? FYI the DCH is disabled and set to auto off.

ld 96 dis dch x auto, then ld 60 disl x the loop, that is the logical app, not the d, but the d has to be dis before you can disl the loop.. a fdl brings up the msdl but the msdl does not need to be down just the d and the loop. a full down load is only needed to write the code change to the msdl..

Just wanted to say thanks John. MWI and QSIG working great between 81 w/ MerMail and CCM.

My problem outing the DCH was following MERL too closely! In their docs for LD 17:

REQ CHG Request
TYPE ADAN Action Device And Number
- ADAN aaa bbb x Action Device And Number (aaa = NEW, CHG, MOV or OUT; bbb = I/O device type; x = port number)


I tried to include the MSDL port in the command (DIS DCH 27 3)and it rejected with the "logical app" message.

DIS DCH 27 WORKED JUST FINE
